Food Truck Wars
This weekend only
40+ Food Trucks, Site-Wide Beer Garden, BC Shop Local Market, Live Entertainment + More!
It’s highly recommended you grab your tickets online prior to arriving on-site. While Food Truck Wars is by donation to attend, only ticket holders will be provided with access should the event reach capacity limits. You will also be able to donate on site. Our charity partners for this event are BC Children’s Hospital Foundation & KPU Alumni Foundation with partial proceeds of the gate going to both of these incredible groups!
Yes! Parking is available on-site but can be limited when it’s busy. We recommend coming early & avoiding peak hours between 12-3pm and 5-6pm if you’re concerned about parking. We also suggest taking the awesome new free shuttle & carpooling with your friends and family when you can!
The free shuttle service will be running between three stops every 20-30 minutes. The two pickup spots are at Timms Community Centre by Langley City Hall and at the McLeod Athletic Park off 57A ave behind CLA church. We will have shuttle stop signs posted so look for those to know you’re in the right spot! The shuttle will drop you off right outside the front entrance of the event.
Food Truck Wars is easily accessible by public transit or bike. The main Langley bus loop is only a 13 minute walk. If you’re heading in from the Vancouver area there’s a direct bus from Surrey Central Skytrain station.
We operate rain and shine! We’ve got you covered literally with big seating tents to help keep you dry as you enjoy your favourite meals. Also, as a BC business we’re used to the occasional grey skies and some dewy rain drops. When the rainbow pops up it makes for an incredible photo backdrop!
The Food Truck Wars site has been designed with accessibility in mind. All areas are accessible for those who need a little bit more help getting around. Parking near the entrance has been reserved for those needing assistance, and accessible washrooms will also be available on-site.
You asked – they listened! Many trucks now offer vegetarian, vegan, and GF menus. There’s even an award for the best vegetarian/plant-based dish that will be announced on Sunday. Check out the event menus for more details on truck-specific options.
Vendors take all forms of payments including cash, credit, debit, and some even take bitcoin!
Yes, the event is dog friendly, we even have some pet vendors on site handing out sample snacks for your furry friends. Please make sure your dog is leashed at all times and you bring supplies to clean up after them. Also be aware that some of our guests may not love dogs the same way you do so any misbehaved animals will be required to leave the site. Thanks for keeping it a safe space for all!
Food truck wars features some awesome local entertainers and musicians including Wes Barker and Dueling Pianos. The event also features the BC Shop Local Market where you can shop for your favourite local goods and meet small business owners in your community. Games like giant Jenga and Ladder Ball, chalk and bubbles for the littles and a site-wide beer garden for the big kids.
Yes! We love our volunteers & employees, they are an important part of bringing your festival experience to the next level. If you’re interested in joining our incredible event crew, please apply here. Bonus, you get a free meal on each volunteer shift!
