“We are Ian and Heidi Locket from Kelowna BC. Heidi and I lived/worked in San Diego for almost a decade before we started the original fish taco truck in Kelowna BC.

We opened the Food Truck in 2013 because we could not find a fish taco anywhere in the Okanagan and really missed what we were eating in San Diego.

Since 2013 we have grown Surf Side to 3 food trucks and a new business partner, Brandon Locket. Brandon has stepped up in a big way to allow Surf Side to expand and spread out operations throughout the Okanagan festivals and events.

Our Famous Fish Taco is our #1 Taco on the trucks. The fresh Baja-style taco is a replica of what we were eating in San Diego. It has basically built our business and popularity in the Okanagan. We have a great line of tacos following in its footsteps like the oh-so-popular Carne Asada Taco, Poke Surf Taco, Black Bean Taco, Shrimp Tacos, and much more. The fresh South West Coastal-inspired flavors can be tasted throughout our menu.

Festivals, events, and catering have kept Surf Side hopping for the past 8yrs and it doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon. You can find Surf Side at Rotary Beach, one of the most popular beaches in Kelowna’s lower mission.
