More Than Just Food

Each Rock the Block event offers a variety of activities designed to foster community connection:

  • Live Music: Local artists providing the soundtrack to your evening
  • Interactive Games: Fun for all ages to encourage mingling and laughter
  • Creative Expression: Opportunities to collaborate on community art projects
  • Neighborhood Networking: Meet the people who live just doors away from you

Why Community Connection Matters

Creating connected and vibrant neighbourhoods is a key priority for the City of Maple Ridge. Research shows that knowing your neighbors increases safety, builds a sense of belonging, and improves overall well-being. Rock the Block events provide the perfect casual setting to forge these important connections.

As one neighbor from last year’s events shared, “I’ve lived on my street for five years but met more neighbors in two hours at Rock the Block than I had in all that time. Now we have a street text group and regular potlucks!”

Have Your Say

Love Rock the Block? Want to see it in your neighborhood next year? Residents can share feedback and request locations for the 2026 Rock the Block series by emailing [email protected].

Cost: FREE!

All Rock the Block events are completely free to attend. Just bring yourself, your family, and your appetite for food, fun, and friendship! Food purchases from the trucks are optional but highly recommended to support these local businesses.
