Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival Joins Maple Ridge Earth Day 2025 Celebration!

We’re thrilled to announce that the Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival is partnering with Maple Ridge’s Celebrate Earth Day festival!

Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 10am to 2pm at Memorial Peace Park in the heart of Maple Ridge.

Our Role at Maple Ridge Earth Day 2025

As the official food partner for this eco-inspired family event, we’ll be showcasing Maple Ridge and surrounding area food trucks.

Supporting local food trucks creates significant environmental benefits: reduced food miles, smaller carbon footprints, and community economic resilience. Many of our vendors source ingredients directly from Fraser Valley farms and producers, creating a truly local food system that reduces packaging waste and transportation emissions while keeping dollars in our local economy.

Each food truck at the festival represents a local entrepreneur’s unique journey and passion for food. From family recipes passed down through generations to innovative culinary creations, these small business owners are the heart of our local food scene and demonstrate how supporting local is a powerful environmental action we can take every day.

What to Expect

Maple Ridge’s Celebrate Earth Day is a popular, annual community festival that brings together multiple local environmental, business, and community organizations to create a family-friendly, artistic, inclusive, and interactive event celebrating nature & the outdoors, family & community, and green innovation & technology.

The festival promises a day filled with activities for everyone:

  • Family Freecycle (free books, toys, and clothing)
  • Repair Café
  • Electric Vehicle Display by the Vancouver Electric Vehicle Association
  • Haney Farmers Market’s special Earth Day market
  • HUB Cycling’s Cycle Recycle Free Bike Draw
  • Arts & entertainment stages at the ACT and the Market
  • Interactive booths and displays
  • Flash mobs
  • Museum on the Move
  • Climate Champion Awards
  • Poetry & Photo Contests
  • Welcoming Ceremonies honoring the Katzie and Kwantlen First Nations at 10:30am

This year’s event theme is “Stories” – stories bring people together and connect us across time and distance. The event will highlight the Maple Ridge Library and the Maple Ridge Museum, who specialize in story sharing and connecting our community.

Sharing stories creates identity – when we see the world and ourselves reflected back to us, we feel less alone, more confident, and have the courage to act on our beliefs, to hope for a better future, to strive for a better world. Stories can be told in so many ways – through music & dance, visual art & tattoos, oral & written traditions…We ARE our stories. Come share yours and contribute a verse to the powerful, ongoing story of our Earth.

Come Hungry, Leave Inspired!

We invite the entire Greater Vancouver community to join us at this celebration of Earth Day! Come hungry and ready to discover local food heroes while enjoying a day filled with environmental education and family fun.

By choosing to eat from local food trucks at the event, you’ll be supporting small businesses in our community while reducing your environmental footprint – a perfect way to honor Earth Day!

Stay tuned for announcements about which amazing local food trucks will be joining us at the event. We can’t wait to see you there!
