Our Neck of the Woods – Maple Ridge Celebrates 150
Get ready for Maple Ridge’s 150th Anniversary celebration with Our Neck of the Woods—a full day of family fun, food, and adventure in the heart of downtown! Join us on Saturday, Sept. 14 from noon to 10 p.m. for the biggest birthday party in the city’s history—a car-free street festival that will take over Memorial Peace Park, 224th Street, 119th Avenue, and McIntosh Avenue!
From the thrilling Soar Over Maple Ridge Zipline to a stage packed with exciting kids’ performances, there’s something for everyone. Families can enjoy activities from noon to 6 p.m., including:
- Katzie Canoe Family visual and performing arts
- Campfire Story Sessions
- Bouncy Castles and Obstacle Adventures
- The unveiling of Rock the Block murals by artist Carly Bouwman
On the Kanaka Kids Stage, don’t miss:
- GinaLina (12:15 p.m.): Family folk music with a JUNO-nominated artist
- TableTutors DJ Academy (1:20 p.m. & 3:30 p.m.): Youth DJ showcases
- Robin Layne (2:30 p.m.): Journey Into Rhythm interactive drumming show
And that’s not all — indulge in delicious eats from a dozen of your favourite Food Trucks from us, the Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival, while music lovers can groove to live performances on three stages, including headliners Aaron Pritchett and The Strumbellas.
