That’s the motto of Annie Ji Singh, a beloved cultural icon in British Columbia’s South Asian community. For nearly two decades, Annie Ji has been the voice of Red FM Multicultural Broadcasting Corporation, where she’s celebrated for her vibrant personality, authentic connection with audiences, and dedication to community service.
Born in the Fiji Islands and arriving in Canada in 1979, Annie Ji has built an impressive career spanning radio, television, education, and event hosting. Known as “Billo Rani,” “Red Hot Chili,” and “The Voice of Fiji,” she brings unmatched energy and cultural richness to every event she touches.
What to Expect During the Takeover
The Annie Ji Productions Stage Takeover promises to be a festival highlight blending entertainment, cultural celebration, and audience engagement:
11:30 AM – Event Kickoff
Annie Ji will open the showcase with her trademark warmth and energy, welcoming the crowd and conducting special interviews with notable guests and VIPs. She’ll set the stage for the cultural celebration ahead, introducing attendees to the diverse performances they’re about to experience.
11:40 AM – 1:00 PM – Cultural Performances
The program continues with Ash’s stirring rendition of “O Canada,” followed by a series of high-energy dance performances representing diverse cultural traditions. Attendees will be treated to musical showcases designed to energize the crowd and highlight the rich cultural tapestry of our community.
1:00 PM – 1:30 PM – Bollywood Couture Fashion Show
Designer Pinky Sharma presents an exclusive Bollywood Couture runway showcase featuring both traditional and contemporary South Asian fashion. Models will display stunning designs that blend cultural heritage with modern style in this visually captivating segment.
1:30 PM – 2:00 PM – Grand Finale
The celebration reaches its peak with dynamic performances accompanied by a professional DJ mixing live music sets. Special dance performances carrying inspiring social messages will add depth to the entertainment. The finale includes an interactive audience competition where six lucky attendees will compete in an impromptu dance-off for special prizes, followed by Annie Ji’s signature “Rise and Shine” closing remarks and acknowledgments.
